Upon arrival in Zurich, you are met by your Blueflower representative. So far a conventional meet and greet. But rather unconventionally, you part ways with your guide outside the car rental office. You head east to Solothurn, a city with architectural treasures that set the romantic mood. It is something out of a fairytale. The final accent of the day is Swiss landscape: on your way to Schangnau in the Emmental Valley, where you spend the night, nestled by gorgeous vales.
You head north towards Bern. It is a capital with a peculiar charm. With its fountains, historic buildings and ― weather permitting ―, a certain passion for sidewalk cafés, it is the perfect city to lose yourselves and explore. After a day of discovery, you head south to Kandersteg. The charm of the alpine village is not lost upon you. In the morning, you enjoy valleys that have been dubbed a hiker’s paradise, with trails that wind into the forest, or caress the slopes of the mountains.
Your tour of the Swiss valleys continues to St. Luc in the Val d’Anniviers. Here, one of the most romantic hotels in the whole of Europe is your home for the time being. For more than a century, this establishment has attracted those with a keen heart and a love of nature. From St. Luc you drive to Binn Valley. All the time, you stop at your pleasure to soak in the view, and practice your landscape photography, the Matterhorn on your right.
In eastern Switzerland you discover quintessential alpine villages that have kept of the magic of fairytales and childhood stories. Free to roam, free to explore, you have become a discoverer of your own dreams and passions: nature, freedom, love. You must now drive back to Zurich. On the way you find a perfect alpine lookout. It is a place nondescript, and yet powerful. You cuddle together and bid Switzerland farewell.
