From Yangon, drive to the Golden Rock, one of the country’s most mysterious and bewildering monuments.
In the Kayin Border
Reach Hpa An, where Kayin and Mon states meet. Venture further afield and kayak to Kayin communities that have rarely seen outsiders.
Scenic River
Enjoy a cruise down the Salween River. Stop in isolated communities until you reach Pa Lin village. Here you will catch a tuk-tuk ride to different temples. Reach Mawlamyine, one of the most important colonial docks of the 19th century. Visit Seindon Mibaya monastery before you return to Hpa An.
Train Traverse
Board a train back to Yangon but first stop at Kawgun Cave, where you can enjoy precious 7th century statues of the Buddha. Upon reaching Bago, visit the former Royal Palace. Arrive in Yangon where you can catch your flight or continue to explore Myanmar.
