From the campsite, head to the Norangsdalen, one of Norway’s most charming and picturesque landscapes. Tonight, you will stay at Hotel Union Oye, opened in 1891, and remained pretty much the same since then. It’s been a secret hideout for royals and artists.
Devoldfabrikken, an old factory, is now an assortment of Scandinavian outlet stores. You should treat yourself to a short spell of shopping, perhaps buy a waterproof outfit! Next hop on a rib-boat and discover the wildlife that lives around Alesund’s craggy shore. The sail to Skotholden, only reachable by sea, and where your lunch awaits: with the best view of the ocean as an aperitif. Back at Alesund, discover the curious Art Nouveau architecture that found its expression in these distant Norwegian fjords.
