A possible, beautiful itinerary for you

  1. Arrival in Sydney

Your Australian adventure starts at the capital. With the harbour as a backdrop, you discover the vibrant cafés, quirky galleries and, if you want, you can even get a backstage pass to the opera.

  2. Hamilton Island

Early in the morning, you fly north towards the Great Barrier Reef. This immense system of coral reefs and islands is one of the most wonderful sights on Earth, so much so that it can be seen from space. You land in Hamilton Island and settle into your resort. After the excitement of Sydney, the peaceful surrounds refresh your mind and your heart. Your every want is within reach, you are completely free to do as you please. Let’s not even plan the afternoon, it will reveal itself with delight!

  3. Blissful Hours

The day ahead seems full of possibility and enchantment. You can decide in favour of a game of golf after breakfast, or a morning reading a book at a deserted beach. If your desire tickles for adventure, you can make your first excursion into the coral reefs, and dive into this pristine environment. Go to the Whitesundays for some of Australia’s best snorkelling or set a more romantic mood and your butler to arrange a beach drop-off for you and your significant other.

  4. Into the Great Barrier Reef

Scientists, researchers and conservationists do very important work at the GBR. They study and protect this unique ecosystem and, as a perk, can reach areas of it that are usually off-limits to most travellers. Not only that, but they witness some of the most remarkable phenomena nature has to offer, such as the annual coral spawning, a spectacle like no other that happens during the full-moon nights of October and November. You head towards one of the research vessels and join the crew for the day. Your experiences will depend on the work that the scientists are doing at the time, but it can range from tracking marine mammals to diving in previously unexplored areas that need surveying.

  5. Where Science Meets Travel

Last night, you parted with the crew as friends before returning to your resort. Today, you have another day of science and adventure ahead of you. It might be that you join the project from the day before, or you set out to discover a whole new aspect of the Great Barrier Reef.

  6. A Retreat within a Retreat

Fly to Cairns and the hop onto your chartered flight to Lizard Island. You will get spectacular views of the Great Barrier Reef as you reach your resort, nestled within the reef. Settle in to enjoy a couple of joyful and tranquil days in Australia’s paradise.

  7. Things to Do at Lizard Island

From a wide selection of watersports, fishing, hikes and even a full day at the spa, enjoy the essence of a beach holiday: do it all, or do nothing at all.

  8. Departure

As you fly over the Great Barrier Reef back to the mainland, the many precious moments that you experienced in the past few days come to mind. There is so much more of Australia yet to discover, and it’s going to be grand.
