You arrive in the Lofoten to a warm welcome. Travellers and adventurers have gathered in these beautiful islands with one purpose: to explore the Norwegian Arctic. Your private driver takes you to your home during the Lofoten leg of this journey. A cozy, sea-view cabin is the perfect setting for the adventure. Let’s be honest, who needs décor when outside your window the northern lights are painting a masterpiece in the sky?
After a delicious breakfast, you hop on a rib boat and skirt the shore to enter the emblematic Trollfjord. This is an exclusive way to explore one of Norway’s most beautiful landmarks. You reach Henningsvaer for lunch. This small fishing village has become somewhat of a secret among travel elites. In the afternoon you spot the white-tailed eagle and enjoy some of the most stunning views in the world. By the time you return to the lodge, the sauna is steaming and, in a moment of inspiration, you take a dive into the Arctic Sea.
A private drive takes you through the coastal roads of the Island. You discover wild white-sand beaches, glacier valleys, granite mountains and the secluded Nusfjord, a charming fishing village that has an idyllic air about it. Spend the evening in the sauna and enjoying the northern lights.
After breakfast enjoy a snowshoeing activity. Fly to Tromso and check in to your luxury room with a privileged view of the Strait of Troms. Before dinner at the best restaurant in town, visit the Polar Museum with your guide.
Fly to Longyearbyen in the Svalbard Islands. After you settle in, hop on a snowmobile and head to the Svalbard mountains in search of the Northern Lights. The low-light conditions and extreme latitude are perfect for an Aurora Safari.
Hop on your snowmobile once again and venture across the frozen ocean to Spitsbergen, where you will spot polar bears and enjoy breathtaking views as you venture further and further into the Arctic wilderness.
Today you will travel on a dogsled. Through the Bolterdalen Valley, a crossing of about 6 hours, you find yourself surrounded by the Svalbard. The dogs move nimbly through the ice, and the Arctic silence gives you inner peace. The ice caves are mysterious, it’s a blue unlike any other, it speaks to the deepest regions of your soul. No wonder they say there is life before and after arctic travel. You join your fellow travellers for the farewell dinner, and break bread together as friends.
After a free morning in Longyearbyen, you fly south to Oslo, as crazy as it sounds.
